Harry F. Bosen, Jr.'s Wildlife Photos & Videos

This is a website created to showcase photos and videos taken from around the world by Harry F. Bosen, Jr. and his wife, Ellie.  The content is primarily wildlife photography and videography, but contains some more personal content.
Harry started traveling to various destinations to view and photograph wildlife in 1987.  His first trip was to Tanzania and Kenya.  Back then, he had an older model Canon camera with a just a few lenses, including a fixed 500mm lens.  He shot with Fujichrome and KODAK slide film.  He now uses modern digital cameras, including Panasonic Lumix GH5s and an Olympus EM\1X.
Harry and Ellie have traveled to many countries, places, and continents for wildlife photography, including Antartica, Costa Rica, Ecuador, The Galápagos Islands twice, India, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Yellowstone National Park (in late summer and winter), Alaska, Canada, and Madagascar.  They are planning their next trip for 2026, to Borneo to photograph orangutans.
Harry F. Bosen, Jr. practiced law from his offices in Salem, Virginia for fifty years, helping clients on civil and criminal matters throughout much of western Virginia.  Harry was born in Chicago, Illinois, and lived there until age seven when his family moved to Florida.  Three years later at age ten, he moved to Salem, Virginia, where he attended elementary school at Broadstreet Elementary School, and later, Andrew Lewis High School, from which he graduated in 1964.  Harry matriculated to Roanoke College in Salem, from which he graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.  After teaching middle school and coaching sports for four years, he matriculated to Washington & Lee School of Law in Lexington, Virginia, graduating with a Juri\s Doctor degree in 1975.  Then he passed the Virginia Bar Examination and became a licensed attorney on September 30, 1975.
Harry and Ellie married in 1985.  They have developed this website for you to enjoy the many moments they have enjoyed viewing wildlife on the seven continents of our planet.
